Report: Another Panthers player given permission to seek trade
· Yahoo Sports
The Carolina Panthers may be giving another player a chance at their own exit strategy.
According to Joe Person of The Athletic, the team has granted defensive lineman A'Shawn Robinson permission to seek a trade. Per Person, they've already done the same with backup quarterback Andy Dalton—who has reportedly garnered some outside interest this week.

Robinson might be the likeliest cut candidate for Carolina this offseason, as moving the soon-to-be 31-year-old defender off the roster would save the front office $10.5 million in salary cap space for 2026.
This upcoming campaign will mark the final season of Robinson's current deal—a three-year, $22.5 million pact he signed in 2024.
The former second-round pick and 10-year veteran has started in 32 of his 33 regular-season games for the Panthers—amassing 145 combined tackles, 8.0 sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
