George joined Everton on loan for the remainder of the season in January, with the deal containing an option to buy.

The winger saw a move to Fulham collapse on deadline day last summer, and he made 11 appearances in all competitions over the first half of the season.

George is a product of Chelsea’s famed Cobham academy, and the teenager was promoted to the first team squad last season by Enzo Maresca.

However, with Chelsea signing a plethora of new attackers he fell down the pecking order, and is now looking to impress at Everton.

George has appeared in three out of a possible four league games, and Deeney believes he’s already made an impact on Merseyside.

“He added a little bit of life and a little bit of colour to the game,” he told The Football Exchange.

“At least he’s ready to attack. I think actually working under David Moyes could be a little godsend for him.”

Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens haven’t produced

Whilst it’s clear George’s future lies away from Stamford Bridge, both Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens who were signed last summer simply haven’t delivered.

Gittens is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, but has only managed one goal in the Carabao Cup against Wolves.
