Chicago Bears re-sign OL Jordan McFadden

· Yahoo Sports

The Chicago Bears have re-signed offensive lineman Jordan McFadden to a one-year contract, the team announced Thursday morning.

McFadden served as depth along the interior offensive line last season, where he didn't see any significant action until the divisional round playoffs against the Los Angeles Rams. McFadden got the start at left guard with Joe Thuney kicking over to left tackle to replace Ozzy Trapilo, who suffered a ruptured patellar tendon the previous week.

McFadden is a former fifth-round pick by the Los Angeles Chargers in 2023, where he's appeared in 20 career regular-season games, including two starts. He's also made two postseason appearances, including that divisional playoff game against the Rams.

While this doesn't exactly move the needle, it's an important depth signing to shore up an offensive line that will have new starters at left tackle and center this season with Trapilo expected to miss most of the 2026 season and Drew Dalman's surprising retirement.
