Louisville to face South Florida in NCAA Tournament opener on Thursday

Louisville will look to win a game in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in nearly a decade when it takes on American Conference champion South Florida on Thursday in Buffalo.
The contest between the East Region’s 6-seed and 11-seed will tip-off at 1:30 p.m. ET on TNT.

South Florida enters the March Madness as one of the hottest teams in the country. The Bulls have won 11 games in a row and have been beaten just once since Jan. 18. They play at one of the fastest paces in the country and boast one of the hottest young coaching names in the sport in 38-year-old Bryan Hodgson.
This will be the first meeting between Louisville and South Florida since the Cardinals left the American for the ACC following the 2013-14 season. U of L leads the all-time series, 20-4, and has won 15 of the last 16 against the Bulls.
