Florida football hosting key recruits this weekend for spring visits
· Yahoo Sports
Florida football is set to host a key group of recruiting targets this weekend. The program continues to generate momentum on the trail under first-year head coach Jon Sumrall but still knock on the door for the crop's most coveted talent.
The list of attendees features a blend of high school prospects and potential transfers. The group represents an effort to address Florida's positional needs moving forward — immediate impact players are a priority, while offensive and defensive line remain a top focus.

Sumrall and his staff are targeting high-upside recruits, the type of blue-chip talent that has often proved difficult for Florida to tie down.
This weekend will offer the Florida coaching staff another opportunity to strengthen relationships with these prospects. The Orange and Blue continue to position themselves for serious contention in the race for the nation's premier blue-chip talent.
Headliners of the cast include five-star IOL Maxwell Hiller, a 6-foot-4-inch, 290-pound prospect out of Pennsylvania. Ranked No. 5 nationally by 247Sports composite, Hiller is considered one of the state's top overall targets regardless of position.
Also highly touted among the group is Davin Davidson, a 6-foot-7-inch, 230-pound quarterback out of Sarasota, Florida, who is ranked 12th at his position by On3 industry rankings.
In addition, Florida will host Notre Dame commit Ace Alston, a key flip target for the Gators. The 5-foot-11-inch, 175-pound Cincinnati, Ohio native and cornerback is the 10th-ranked cornerback in the nation according to 247Sports.
As the recruiting cycle matures, this weekend's in-person evaluations paired with campus exposure could be a consequential step in filling out the 2026 class.
