The Golden State Warriors will be looking for a fourth straight win when they travel to Denver to take on the Nuggets on Sunday night.
It will be the fourth and final meeting between the two teams on the season. The Warriors won two of the three previous matchups, including the most recent game in February.
Steph Curry ruled out vs. Nuggets due to lingering knee injury
The bad news for the Warriors is that they’ll continue to be without star guard Steph Curry in Denver.
Curry has been officially ruled out of the game due to patellofemoral pain syndrome, also known as “runner’s knee.”
The injury has kept Curry sidelined for two full months. His last game action came against the Detroit Pistons back on Jan. 30. The game against Denver will be the 24th consecutive game missed by Curry.
On the season, Curry has appeared in just 39 games for Golden State and posted averages of of 27.2 points, 4.8 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.1 steals per performance.
Including the game in Denver, the Warriors have eight regular season games remaining. If Curry doesn't return in the near future, he's not going to be cleared to play in the Play-In Tournament for a shot at the playoffs.
"We're not bringing him back [only] for the play-in game," Warriors coach Steve Kerr said of Curry earlier this week. "He'd need to play some games. We need to give him a runway if this is going to work. And we are running out of games. That's fair to say."
