2027 4-star DE Rashad Streets commits to Oregon Ducks

· Yahoo Sports

One of the Oregon Ducks’ top targets in the 2027 recruiting class made his decision on Thursday. Four-star edge rusher Rashad Streets announced live on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ his decision to commit to the Ducks.

The North Carolina native is ready to travel across the country and earn a spot on Dan Lanning’s defense, which will be replacing Matayo Uiagalelei and Teitum Tuioti on the edge heading into the 2027 season. Streets chose the Ducks from a group of six finalists that included Ohio State, Alabama, NC State, South Carolina and Florida State.

Streets instantly becomes the highest-rated player in Oregon’s 2027 class so far. He’s ranked as the No. 63 recruit in the country, according to Rivals Industry Ranking, and is the No. 9 edge rusher in the class. He also adds to an impressive defensive line class for the Ducks, which already includes four-star Zane Rowe and four-star Cam Pritchett.

The 6-foot-4, 230-pound edge rusher had 15 sacks and 39.5 tackles for loss in his junior season at Millbrook High School. As a sophomore, Streets recorded a staggering 26.5 sacks in 13 games.

"They were one of my first big offers and they stuck with me ever since," Streets said following his commitment. "They never steered me wrong; they always told me the truth. I never felt like they were trying to sell me something."

It’s a big recruiting win that the Ducks will hope to hold on to throughout Streets’ senior season, and it eases the pain of some of the more recent losses. The Ducks hold the No. 13 class in the nation, but Streets’ commitment, the sixth in Oregon’s class, will give the Ducks a nice boost in the soon-to-be updated rankings.
