Nets rule out 10 players for home finale against visiting Pacers

The Brooklyn Nets are nearing the end of their 2025-26 NBA regular season that they hope will result in them getting the first overall pick in the upcoming 2026 NBA Draft. Brooklyn has been eliminated from postseason contention from some time now, but even as they try to finish the season on a strong note, there are still plenty of injuries that they are dealing with.

The Nets announced on Wednesday that they have ruled out 10 players for Thursday's matchup against the Indiana Pacers, including players like rookie Nolan Traore and forward Josh Minott. Traore is being rested for the contest after playing just nine minutes in Tuesday's 96-90 win over the Milwaukee Bucks and Minott is dealing with left ankle soreness.

Brooklyn also ruled out forwards Terance Mann, Noah Clowney, and Ziaire Williams along with center Nic Claxton as all four players are dealing with injuries of their own. Mann is dealing with right patella tendinosis, Clowney is having his left ankle injury managed, Williams has tenosynovitis/bursitis in his left foot while Claxton has a right fifth finger sprain.

Ultimately, this game will draw interest within the national NBA audience due to the fact that the Pacers have also ruled out seven players, including forward Pascal Siakam and center Ivica Zubac. Heading into Wednesday's slate of games, Indiana (18-61) has the second-worst record in the league while Brooklyn (20-59) has the third-worst record.

The result of this game could have huge implications for both teams, but the Nets would be hit harder in terms of their 2026 NBA Lottery odds if they were to win this game as they are just 0.5 games ahead of the Sacramento Kings (21-59) who have the fifth-worst record in the Association. Nets Two-Way forward EJ Liddell had the best game of his young career on Tuesday with 21 points and four rebounds so Brooklyn will likely be depending on him to have a similar performance against the Pacers on Thursday.
