Social media buzzing about Badgers after victory over Illinois

Double-digit second-half leads are usually safe at home for top 10 teams, but that's not the case this season when Big Ten foes are playing the Wisconsin men's basketball team.

Maybe it's not a refuse-to-lose mentality with the 17-7 Badgers, but a refuse-to-snooze thing. It's certainly hard to put the Badgers to sleep.
No. 7/8 Illinois found that out Feb. 10 when the Badgers erased a 12-point deficit with about eight minutes to play and upset the Fighting Illini, 92-90 in overtime. It's the second victory for the Badgers away from home against a top 10 team. UW also shocked then No. 1/2 Michigan last month, rallying from a 14-point deficit. They were also down big in both games against rival Minnesota before coming back to win.
While Nick Boyd and John Blackwell continue to carry the offensive load, there always seems to be another Badger who has a big night in these games. Tuesday it was Austin Rapp, who finished with 18 points and hit a pair of huge 3-point shots late in regulation and in overtime.
On social media, national college basketball reporters and Big Ten fans took note of the fact that the Badgers have two of the highest-quality wins in the country this season despite having seven losses.
And Illinois coach Brad Underwood continued to complain about officiating. But Badgers fans are in no mood to talk about officiating after their last loss.

He says Illinois sent several calls in (to the league office) after the Michigan State game - and will send more in from this Wisconsin game.
Specifically, he says there was an 'egregious' missed out of bounds call early in OT and… pic.twitter.com/yUHrtJn3Lj
Here's a bit of reaction to the Badgers' latest impressive rally that had the Illinois Orange Krush student section seeing a lot of red at the end of the night:
The Wisconsin Badgers now have two of the best wins in the COUNTRY 🦡

That's as bulletproof as you can get for an NCAA Tournament resume. https://t.co/EXfqolcxQ2
There have been a couple of absolute thrillers in the Big Ten tonight. Wisconsin-Illinois has been worth every penny.

Wisconsin takes it 92-90 in OT over No. 8 Illinois. John Blackwell and Nick Boyd were so tough. Wagler w/ 34.

Seed Line Bump™️ for Bucky. Badgers are good for a couple of these turn-your-head wins every year.
Outstanding game, outstanding call by @John_Fanta and @RobbieHummel.
All road wins are like gold, no matter the circumstances. Unbelievable rally by Wisconsin to erase a 12-point deficit with nine to go and win in OT.

Road wins over Michigan and short-handed Illinois will be massive for UW's resume. +0.91 in Wins Above Bubble.
Another game Illinois should have won but kept letting Wisconsin back in. 23-8 in favor of Wisconsin in points off of turnovers, and Illinois shot under 60% from the line.
