2nd Inning

After a scoreless first inning from both starters, Bella Dimitrijevic for FSU, and Lexi Delbrey for ULL, Delbrey hit Angelee Bueno to lead off the bottom of the 2nd. Back to back walks loaded the bases, and a fielding error pushed across the first run for the Seminoles.

Still with the bases loaded, the Cajuns walked in another run, which prompted a pitching change. From Delbrey to Sage Hoover, the second error of the inning brought in the third run.

Now 3-0 with only one out, the ‘Noles continued to apply pressure to the defense. An error and single from Anna Hinde brought in two more runs.

5th Inning

In the previous inning, Ashtyn Danley relieved the freshman Dimitrijevic, coming on for the final out. For the 5th, Danley only allowed one single, that was erased on a caught stealing.

Offensively, Danley got things going with her bat. After she reached on a single, Shelby McKenzie walked with one out. Another error from the ULL defense had ‘Noles at every base. A wild pitch from Hoover brought a run, followed by a sacrifice fly that made it 7-0. With a runner on third base, Bella Ruggiero gave FSU the winning run.

FSU defeated ULL by a 8-0 run rule.
