The Carolina Panthers continue adding pieces to their roster as they look to defend their NFC South title. According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the Panthers have agreed to terms with offensive tackle Rasheed Walker on a one-year deal.

Walker spent the past three seasons with the Green Bay Packers and has gained significant experience protecting the edge of the offensive line. His addition gives Carolina another veteran option along the offensive line as the team continues building around its offense heading into the upcoming season.
According to Pro Football Focus data, Walker played 1,057 offensive snaps during the 2025 season while earning a 63.0 overall offensive grade. During that stretch, he allowed five sacks, three quarterback hits, and 32 hurries across more than 600 pass-blocking snaps, finishing with a 96.2 pass-blocking efficiency rating. He also handled a heavy workload in 2024, totaling 1,139 offensive snaps, demonstrating durability and consistency across multiple seasons.
Walker now joins a Panthers offensive line group that already features Ikem Ekwonu at left tackle, Damien Lewis at left guard, Luke Fortner at center, Robert Hunt at right guard, and Taylor Moton at right tackle. Depth options behind that starting group include Saahdiq Charles, Joshua Gray, Nick Samac, Chandler Zavala, Ja'Tyre Carter, and Stone Forsythe.
For a Carolina team that edged out Tampa Bay for the NFC South crown last season by way of winning a three-way tiebreaker after week 18's conclusion, strengthening the offensive line could help the Panthers remain competitive in what figures to be another tight division race.
