Veteran safety Jaylinn Hawkins is moving on from the New England Patriots after signing a two-year, $10 million deal with the Baltimore Ravens, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler on Wednesday.
Hawkins had 71 tackles, four interceptions, six passes defended and one forced fumble with the Patriots last season. He went from being a depth piece to a 15-game starter for the team under head coach Mike Vrabel. The veteran defensive back turned the opportunity into the best year of his NFL career and reaped the reward from his efforts on the open market.

Hawkins will give the Ravens a reliable defensive back who should make the unit as a whole better this year. Meanwhile, the Patriots got one of the best safeties in the league and an elite veteran player to help fortify an already talented defensive unit.
